Counseling & Career Development Changes Name

Counseling & Career Development Changes Name Effective on January 2, 2014, University of West Georgia’s Counseling and Career Development will be officially known as the Counseling Center. The name change comes as the career development/exploration program under Counseling and Career Development transitions to become part of the Career Services Department on January 2, 2014.

Following the name change, the Counseling Center will continue to provide confidential mental health and outreach services that are available to all currently enrolled University of West Georgia students including: personal counseling, group counseling, and online counseling. The center also offers: biofeedback, psychotherapy, accessibility support services, classroom programs, mental health awareness outreach, student-athlete program and substance abuse counseling.

The Counseling Center is located in 123 Row Hall. The operating hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. To contact, call (678)839-6428.
