Midnight Breakfast Provides a Deserved Break for UWG Students

by Joy Esiemokhai

Midnight Breakfast Provides a Deserved Break for UWG Students Every semester, right before finals week, students flock to the Z-6 for Midnight Breakfast. Organized by the Auxiliary Services at the University of West Georgia, Midnight Breakfast provides a full continental breakfast to students for only $2, offering a brief relief from the stress of finals. On December 5, 2013, students filled the Z-6 for the Fall 2013 edition of the event.

The event, which lasted from 10 p.m. until midnight, allowed students to relax with friends, with some students even going back for second and third portions. UWG faculty and staff assisted Z-6 staff in serving over 300 students throughout the evening. Students enjoyed usual breakfast items such as pancakes, grits and biscuits with gravy, along with delicious pastries and other breakfast snacks.

UWG’s Wolf Internet Radio also broadcasted live from the event, playing non-stop music that encouraged dancing and singing by the students. Throughout the event, students’ laughter rang through the hall, proving that once again, Midnight Breakfast was a resounding success.
