Will Hall Claims Region Coach of the Year Honors

The West Georgia Wolves' record setting 2015 football season has resulted in more honors for the UWG program. Head coach Will Hall was selected Coach of the Year, and nine UWG players were tabbed as members of the 2015 Don Hansen All-Super Region 2 Team.

Will Hall Claims Region Coach of the Year HonorsFor Coach Hall, the honor is notable. His selection marks the second region coach of the year honor ever for a UWG head coach. In his second season as head coach of the Wolves, Coach Hall guided UWG to a record of 12-2 and a second straight berth in NCAA Division II Semifinals. He has an overall record of 24-5 at West Georgia and has led the program to new heights, winning Super Region 2 Championships in each year as well as delivering the first Gulf South Conference Championship for UWG since the 2000 season.

Postseason honors are nothing new for Coach Hall. An All-American and Harlon Hill Trophy winner as a player at North Alabama, he also was a two-time GSC Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2013 at West Alabama.

Three UWG players earned first team berths on the All-Super Region Team. Offensive guard Orion Awa-Dubose and tackle Dominique Robertson, both seniors, were tabbed to the offensive unit, while junior end Dylan Donahue was named to the first team defensive unit.

The All-Super Region 2 Second Team also includes a trio of UWG stars. Senior quarterback Dallas Dickey, all-purpose back Devontae Jackson, and placement specialist Hunter Heck were voted to the team.

UWG's all-region contingent also includes a trio of third team honorees. Two are wide receivers: senior Shaq Hall and sophomore Qa Walker. Also, junior defensive end Alex Armah was selected for the honor.

The six UWG first and second team All-Region selections advance to a national ballot, from which the 2015 Don Hansen All-American Team will be named in February.
