Lee Announces 2014 Recruiting Class

The Wolves said their final goodbyes to three seniors at the end of the Gulf South Conference Championship in 2013, and now Head Coach of UWG Volleyball, Gary Lee, looks to help rebuild with bringing in some new faces to the 2014 team.

Lee Announces 2014 Recruiting ClassThe Wolves are coming off their best overall campaign in Lee's six-year tenure, finishing the year with a 17-13 overall record and reaching the finals in the 2013 GSC Championship against the University of West Florida.

The 2014 class begins with junior transfer Nicole McDaniel out of Gulf Coast Community College in Panama City, Florida. Nicole began her collegiate career at Valdosta State University in the 2012 season. West Georgia's second recruit is the setter out of Farragut High School, Tessa Joan Watson.

Overview: Solid outside joining the Wolves for her junior campaign ... played her last season at Gulf Coast Community College under Kyle Peck ... helped lead the Commodores to a 21-10 overall record last season ... First Team All-Conference ... as a sophomore she had 405 kills (second in school history) and a .338 hitting percentage ... totaled 225 digs and 22 blocks in 2013 season ... as a freshman as VSU, she had 298 kills with 255 digs and 22 blocks ... as a senior at Deland High School, she set the single season record with 228 kills ... awarded First Team All-Central Florida and First Team All-Conference ... voted by FSHAA as one of the top 20 players in the state of Florida.

Overview: Promising athletic setter joining the Wolves for her first collegiate volleyball season in 2014 ... prepped under Head Coach Susan Davidson at Farragut High School ... had 892 sets and 620 assists in senior year ... team Captain for JV and Varsity teams ... 2014 All District and All Region Team ... 2014 All KIL Sports Writers Team ... 2014 East TACA Team.
