Personal Reflection: "I entered UWG in the fall 2010 as a shy freshman from Paulding County. I made the decision to become a history major in the spring 2011, and I was able to receive great professional mentoring and training from the professors of the history department. By studying at UWG, not only did I gain great academic knowledge, but just as importantly, I formed useful friends and professional connections that should help me for the rest of my life. I returned to UWG in the fall 2014 as a graduate student in the history M.A. program, and the professors have continued to foster my academic development by working closely with me on research projects. I also work as graduate research assistant in Ingram Library's Special Collections where I have the ability to catalog and process valuable primary sources concerning the west Georgia region. Thank you, UWG community, for all you have done to continue my improvement as a person and professional."
