UWG SOTA Begins Summer Film Camp

UWG SOTA Begins Summer Film CampThe University of West Georgia’s School of the Arts is hosting the first session of Film Camp starting July 13. The weeklong camp is designed for budding filmmakers between the ages of 13 to 18 and consists of daily workshops and tutorials on screenwriting, movement and voice coaching, image capturing, and film editing. Camp participants will use both state-of-the-art university equipment and smart phones and tablets.

The participants receive lunch on campus with their cohort and a special screening of their films, curated by a film professor, at the end of the week. Prizes will be awarded for top films in various categories, and flash drives with the completed projects will be given to each participant.

It’s not too late to register for Session II, which starts on July 20. Please see http://www.westga.edu/conted/2980_3362.php for more information and to register.
