The West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail is a network of historic sites, community organizations and businesses that work together to preserve the area’s textile history and tell the story of the industry’s workers and their culture.

Becoming a member will allow access to the trail’s e-newsletter and listserv, plus exciting information about the trail’s progress and upcoming related events and programs.

In addition to focusing on individual members, the West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail is also searching for organizations and businesses that would like to support the trail. By commemorating and interpreting the fascinating story of textile workers in West Georgia, the trail will also spur heritage tourism business by enticing those traveling along the US Highway 27 corridor to stop in local communities to visit textile sites.

The membership fee is $35. For more information on the West Georgia Textile Heritage Trail or the membership drive, contact Dustin Klein at the Center for Public History at 678-839-6141 or by e-mail at wgtht@westga.edu.
