Recent Accomplishments:

In His Words: "I thoroughly enjoy working at the University of West Georgia. In particular, the faculty and students in the Health and Physical Education program are making a noticeable difference on campus and throughout the community.

"Currently, the health and physical education majors are collaborating with local schools, finding ways to impact sedentary behaviors and physical activity levels in a positive manner. This is important and timely work, especially considering the number of children in Georgia who are unhealthy. Upon graduation, the pre-service teacher candidates exit the program with the knowledge, skills and dispositions to lead quality health and physical education programs in K-12 schools. In addition, numerous certifications are offered throughout the program, including coaching, personal training, and physical activity leadership, in addition to Georgia teacher certification.

"I am confident that the health and physical education program is providing an excellent education for all of its students. I am thankful for the opportunities in which I have to contribute."
