Profession: Assistant Professor of Counselor Education and College Student Affairs
Recent Accomplishments: I was recently elected Vice President of Marketing and Outreach for the Southern Association for College Student Affairs as well as being nominated for a service award. I have also had multiple presentations accepted on a national and regional level. On a broader note, I am proud in the accomplishments of the College Student Affairs program and the students. We have had students present on national, regional, and state levels, place in case study competitions, appointed to committee chair positions in professional organizations, and win national awards. I am also proud in the work our graduate students do for the University of West Georgia in a variety of offices across campus. Their exemplary commitment and dedication represents the Best of West spirit!
In his words: I arrived to the University of West Georgia as a trailing spouse in a fortuitous position to assist the College Student Affairs program. The love, compassion, and support I received was untouchable. Today, the support and encouragement from not only my department, but also from the College of Education and the university, as a whole, has been unfathomable. The kindness faculty and staff show to one another has been uplifting and encouraging to say the least and speaks to the wonderful community at the University of West Georgia.
