The University of West Georgia football team made a winning play in hiring its new football coach, Will Hall. Will began coaching the UWG football team on November 22, 2013, after moving to Georgia with his wife, Rebecca, and his young sons, Tripp and Pete.
Will, an Amory, Mississippi native, worked with the football team at the University of West Alabama from December 2007 to November 2013, becoming the head football coach in November 2010. He led UWA to three highly successful seasons, including back-to-back Gulf South Conference Championships. In 2012, he witnessed UWA score its first ever pre-season top 10 ranking.
In 2004, Will received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology from the University of North Alabama. Naturally, Will played quarterback for the Lions during his time at UNA. Since finishing his undergraduate degree, he has worked at Presbyterian College, Henderson State University, Southwest Baptist University and the University of Arkansas at Monticello. Will is currently pursuing a Master’s of Arts in Teaching for Physical Education from the University of West Alabama. In addition to being named the 2011 and 2012 Gulf South Conference Coach of the Year, Will also won the Harlon Hill Trophy in 2003.
“UWG has the best facilities in the nation at the Division II level,” Will explains. “The students have a tremendous hunger to win, and we have unbelievable support from the administration.”
