Class Notes: 1980s

Joseph T. Barnett ’85 (BS criminal justice) is a personnel analyst at the Department of Juvenile Justice. He lives in Lithonia.

Dr. D. Glen Cannon ’85 (BBA accounting) is the new president at Gwinnett Technical College. Since 2011, Dr. Cannon served as president of Chattahoochee Valley Community College. His previous experience includes 22 years working at Georgia’s technical colleges, mainly as the chief financial officer.

Jason Thomas Stewart ’87 (BA communications/theatre) is proud to be the supervisor of The Big Apple Circus Clown Care Unit at Boston Children's Hospital, the teaching hospital of Harvard University and the #1 Pediatric Hospital in the United States. Jay is also the current clown coach for Circus Smirkus, New England's award winning youth circus. Jay can also be found on stilts at Fenway Park, entertaining the fans of the Boston Red Sox, at home games. This fall, Jay will be seen in China (again), for the AEMI Comedy Festival in Shanghai and Bengbu, China, as half of the internationally renowned slapstick comedy duo, Smith and Stewart.
