The University of West Georgia recently debuted a redesigned license plate for students, faculty, alumni and UWG fans. For every tag that is purchased, the UWG Foundation will receive a portion of the fee that will be earmarked for the Alumni Legacy Scholarship.
“We are excited to offer the redesigned UWG license plate featuring our Go West shield,” says Diane Homesley, UWG director of development and alumni relations. “Our students, faculty, alumni and friends can now demonstrate their Go West spirit while providing important financial support for students to complete their degrees.
The new plate has a significant design upgrade and features UWG’s new signature style. The “Go West” logo is shown on a parchment background, making the plate coincide with UWG’s branding. The new plate has a more modern, contemporary style and conforms to the new printed plate model that the state of Georgia is now using. The old license plate featured a solid white background that had the UWG flame with the letters UWG in front of it.
The design is now available in Georgia. For residents living outside of Georgia, please check with your local DMV.
